I’m Sam (she/her) and I work with individuals who are exploring their identity (maybe for the first time ever!), navigating complex trauma, experiencing life transitions (that maybe feel all-consuming), exploring harmful religious experiences, and those curious about the way their lived experiences impact who they are and how they engage with the world. I specialize in providing supportive and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients, as well as working with clients navigating religious trauma. My desire is to create a space where you can show up as your truest self. As the client, your innate wisdom is central, and the guide in our work together. I am dedicated to nurturing a space for both your healing and your identity to be honored and explored.

I deeply value and appreciate your innate wisdom and enjoy utilizing a collaborative approach to therapy. I pull from holistic approaches in my work, including attachment-based, emotion-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-focused. I see you as a whole person with lived experience that informs who you are and how you operate through the world, including the systems (political, geographic, etc.) that you live within. 

I understand the experience of holding multiple identities while trying to make sense of your place in the world. I know how exhausting it can feel when all you want is a space to just breathe, be seen, and reconnect with yourself. When we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist - you’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through and can hold that experience with care.

I offer individual therapy sessions at a rate of $145 per 50-minute session. I am also in-network with Medicaid (Colorado Access + CCHA) and Kaiser. You can email me at sam@kincounseling.co.
