Marcus Carter

Master’s-Level Therapist in Denver, Colorado

You might be feeling like your relationships end in a pattern, and you’re stuck trying to fix it. You might be moving so fast through life that you’ve lost touch with something important. Deep down, you sense there’s something you’ve been putting aside, but you’re not quite sure how to slow down enough to face it, let alone process it.

I’m Marcus (he/him), and I support individuals and couples who want to feel more secure in themselves and more connected in their relationships. Whether it’s healing attachment wounds, working through conflict, or realigning with your values, I help you move forward by creating space to explore what’s been buried or avoided.

With a grounded, compassionate presence and practical tools, I guide clients in reconnecting to themselves and each other, so they can build the clarity, confidence, and emotional connection they’ve been longing for.

Therapy doesn’t have to be a lifelong experience. Let me support you in guiding yourself to being who you want to be: fulfilled in your life.

I am dedicated to helping people find confidence, balance, and connection in their lives.

As a Master’s-level counselor, I bring professional expertise and a lifelong commitment to personal growth to my work with clients. Wounds can be a powerful opportunity for healing and transformation.

But I know it’s not always easy. I understand how systems and early relationships can be hard to break from because I’ve worked with it personally. Dealing with seeing and experiencing abuse, religious trauma, racial discrimination, and homophobia, my own journey has been a long and difficult one. It has been by the gift of external support, and resilience that I can move forward with freedom, love, and unabashed authenticity. That’s why, when we work together, you’ll not only have a coach and counselor-in-training guiding you but someone who understands in their own way what you’re carrying—and is here to support you in the ways that feel best for you.

I offer therapy sessions for a rate of $75 per 50 minute session. I am also in-network with Medicaid (Colorado Access + CCHA) + Kaiser. You can email me at marcus@kincounseling.co.
