What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a felt-sense way to explore and heal traumatic memory networks, which include images, beliefs about self, emotions, and body sensations.
When we experience an overwhelming event the activation can get stuck in our nervous system— this process helps us digest the pain so we don’t have to hold so much anymore.
The process helps us trust, in mind and body, that we are safe.
